On the morning of December 26, 2025, under the organization of China State Railway Group, the CR400BF-Z Fuxing intelligent EMU trains developed by CRRC made their inaugural bidirectional departures from Xi'an North Station and Yan'an Station. This marked the official opening of the Xi'an-Yan'an high-speed railway, reducing the commuting time between the two cities to a minimum of 68 minutes, and northern Shaanxi entered the high-speed rail (HSR) era.
The CR400BF-Z Fuxing intelligent EMUs represent a next-generation high-speed train independently developed by China with full intellectual property rights, with a maximum operating speed of 350 km/h. They feature the intelligent service and monitoring systems, and transmit the EMU data via 5G, enhancing travel intelligence, safety, and passenger confidence.
With the successive opening of the Xi'an-Yan'an High-Speed Railway, and Hangzhou-Quzhou High-Speed Railway, and the Wuhan-Yichang section of the Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu High-Speed Railway, China's HSR network has surpassed 50,000 kilometers in operational mileage, ranking first in the world and exceeding the combined total operational mileage of all other countries. More than 4,100 high-speed EMUs from CRRC have been deployed, significantly changing the way people travel.
