22 September 2026 – The 15th InnoTrans opened at Messe Berlin. Under the theme "Sharing Value, Shaping Tomorrow," CRRC unveiled three new full-size vehicles and a comprehensive suite of system-level solutions, offering the industry a broader set of options for cleaner, smarter rail operations.
Three Flagship Vehicles Take Center Stage
On the exhibition’s opening day, CRRC unveiled three full-size vehicles for the global market: VELLINK Intelligent Metro Train, VELFORCE 2,000 kW Hydrogen Fuel Cell Hybrid Locomotive, and MAGIX Intelligent Flat Wagon, spanning urban transit, mainline railways, and freight logistics. Centered on green and intelligent core technologies, the three vehicles showcase CRRC’s equipment innovation strengths across diverse scenarios and a comprehensive product portfolio.
At the ceremony, CRRC launched the VELLINK urban rail brand. As the flagship model, VELLINK Intelligent Metro Train represents the first application of embodied AI in mass transit. Equipped with integrated multi-source sensors, the train creates an integrated sensing network to monitor tracks and identify potential failures in real time, reducing maintenance costs. Furthermore, lightweight materials and deep system integration reduce total vehicle weight by approximately 18%, cutting energy consumption by more than 10% compared with conventional vehicles. The train’s industrial design has won the iF Design Award. Features including floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows, a starlit ceiling, and rotatable seating effectively elevate the passenger travel experience.
At the outdoor exhibition area, CRRC also displayed its VELFORCE 2,000 kW Hydrogen Fuel Cell Hybrid Locomotive. Powered by a parallel dual-stack fuel-cell system delivering 400 kW, it can be refueled in just 15 to 20 minutes and achieves a hydrogen utilization rate exceeding 98%. Its deep-learning-based intelligent driving platform integrates data from multiple sensors to provide 360-degree environmental awareness and intelligent decision-making capabilities, making the locomotive a zero-emission and intelligent solution for greener railway traction.
For freight yard shunting and intermodal operations, CRRC introduced the MAGIX intelligent flat wagon. Weighing only 17 metric tons while supporting a 73-metric-ton load capacity, the wagon reduces energy consumption through its lightweight structural design. It combines modularity, automation, greenization and intelligent technology with a high degree of operational flexibility, transforming conventional freight equipment into a lightweight, cost-effective, efficient and environmentally friendly new-generation intelligent rail freight vehicle.
Integrated Solutions for Future Mobility
During the exhibition, CRRC also hosted a series of technology launch events and open forums, providing customers and partners from around the world with opportunities for direct dialogue.
Aligning with global trends in the transformation of the transit industry, CRRC drives low- and zero-carbon technology across its intelligent product matrix, using a cloud-edge-end collaborative technical system to accelerate intelligent transit. Leveraging its international benchmark projects, CRRC delivers end-to-end solutions while deploying its self-developed AIZOR large AI model across equipment R&D, manufacturing, and maintenance. Through these innovations, CRRC optimizes resource allocation and enhances network operational efficiency worldwide.
