The 2026 SMM International Maritime Trade Fair was recently held at the Hamburg Messe and Congress in Hamburg, Germany. Focusing on key areas including green and low-carbon shipping, smart shipping, and vessel electrification, the exhibition saw CRRC showcase its core marine power equipment and electrification solutions.
CRRC presented a range of products and solutions, including marine shaft generator systems, propulsion motors, marine transformers, variable-frequency drives, and electric drive systems, covering applications in ocean-going, coastal, inland-waterway, and specialized engineering vessels. The marine shaft generator system is suitable for both newbuild vessels and retrofit projects, efficiently recovering excess energy from vessel operations to significantly reduce fuel consumption and carbon emissions. Making its SMM debut, CRRC’s propulsion motors were a particular highlight, with two representative models on display: a 2,200 kW permanent-magnet horizontal propulsion motor and a 3,300 kW asynchronous vertical propulsion motor. During the exhibition, industry professionals from around the world stopped by to discuss potential cooperation, while CRRC’s dedicated technical consultations and customized solutions were well received by customers.
