
Founded in 1959 as the Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Research Institute under the Ministry of Railways, CRRC Zhuzhou Institute Co., Ltd. (CRRC ZIC) is now a wholly owned first-tier subsidiary of CRRC Corporation Limited.
CRRC ZIC operates 11 core entities, including one listed company. It also houses 10 national-level scientific and technological innovation platforms, two post-doctoral research stations, three overseas R&D centers, and 10 national-level specialized and innovation-driven "Little Giant" enterprises. In 2025, the company recorded an operating revenue of RMB 68 billion and generated over RMB 7.5 billion in tax and profit contributions, delivering remarkable economic and social benefits.
