Mr. Ding Rongjun, Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Chief Scientist of CRRC
Mr. Ding Rongjun, Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Chief Scientist of CRRC, and Deputy to the 18th and 19th CPC National Congress, was born in November 1961, with Chinese nationality, and without the right of residence abroad. Mr. Ding graduated from Southwest Jiaotong University, majoring in electric locomotive, holds PhD degree in engineering and the title of professor-level senior engineer. He was offered employment in August of 1984, and served as Deputy General Manager of CRRC Zhuzhou Institute from January 2008 to December 2008 and the General Manager from December of 2008 to June of 2009. From June of 2009 to November of 2015, he was the Executive Director, General Manager. From December 2015 to June 2018, he was the Chairman of the Company. Mr. Ding is a prominent and leading expert in the field of high power railway transportation electric traction drive and train network control technology with abundant experience in technology and business management, and also the vice-chairman of the SAC/TC278 Traction Electrical Equipment and System Standardization Technical Committee, member of CRRC expert committee, and the part-time professor of Southwest Jiaotong University, Central South University and Tongji University. Mr. Ding has been awarded the Locomotive Medal of Ministry of Railway, the 7th Zhan Tianyou Railway Science and Technology Achievement Prize, the railway technology achievement prize of Mao Yisheng Science and Technology Awards. In addition, he is the state-level person selected of New Century Talents Projects and the national model worker.
Mr. Feng Jianghua, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Chief Scientist at CRRC
Mr. Feng Jianghua, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Chief Scientist at CRRC, and a member of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), was born in November 1964 in China and holds Chinese citizenship without any right of residence abroad. He graduated from Central South University with a Ph.D. in Control Theory and Control Engineering, specializing in engineering, and holds the professional title of Professorate Senior Engineer. He began his career in August 1989. From January 2002 to December 2004, he served successively as Director of the R&D Center and Deputy Chief Engineer at CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Research Institute. From January 2005 to December 2009, he was Vice President and Technology Director of Zhuzhou CSR Times Electric Co., Ltd. From January 2010 to January 2012, he held the position of Deputy General Manager at CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Research Institute Co., Ltd. From January 2012 to December 2020, he served as Deputy General Manager and Chief Engineer of the company. From January 2021 to December 2024, he assumed the role of Chief Engineer of the company.Mr. Feng is an outstanding leader in high-speed train traction and control technology. He has led or participated in the research and development of traction and control systems for multiple generations of China’s high-speed trains, achieving a leap from initial development to global leadership and pioneering innovation in core high-speed rail technologies. With extensive technical management experience, he serves as Director of the National Engineering Research Center of Converters. He has received honors including the National Award for Excellence in Innovation, the Guanghua Engineering Science and Technology Award, the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress, the Zhan Tianyou Railway Science and Technology Award, and the Outstanding Contributor to the Building of a Moderately Prosperous Society in All Respects. He has also been selected for the “National Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Talent Project” and the “National Ten Thousand Talents Program” as a leading talent in technological innovation.
