China's First Green Hydrogen-Coal Chemical Pilot Enters Full-Scale Market Operation!
November 20 – The 150 MW wind-solar-storage-hydrogen demonstration project in Duolun, operated by China Datang, has officially commenced full market operation. As the first green hydrogen-coal chemical integration pilot in China, it successfully demonstrates a “green power-to-hydrogen + surplus electricity to grid” synergy, providing a replicable model for decarbonizing the coal-chemical industry.
The project is equipped with a 14,000 Nm³/h integrated hydrogen production system supplied by CRRC Zhuzhou Institute. The system features adaptive load regulation according to renewable generation fluctuations, along with one-click start/stop and gas replacement—delivering flexibility, safety, high efficiency, and intelligence.
The company’s Flexible Green Hydrogen System Solution covers:
1, 5 core equipment units: power supply, electrolyzer, purification, DCS, EMS
2, 3 system services: renewable-storage smart matching, off-grid simulation, unmanned plant operation
3, 5-layer safety architecture: material-cell-stack-system-plant
Environmental Impact:
The project is expected to produce 70.59 million Nm³ of green hydrogen annually, reducing CO₂ emissions by 138,800 tons—equivalent to the yearly carbon absorption of 1,400 hectares of mature forest.
