The New Industry Division of CRRC Zhuzhou Institute Co., Ltd. was established on October 24, 2024. It is a first-level entity unit of Zhuzhou Institute. As an important platform for Zhuzhou Institute to fulfill the responsibilities of a central enterprise and undertake the incubation, cultivation and support of new industries assigned by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission and CRRC, it initially focused on the market exploration, project demonstration and industrialization exploration of the core equipment of the new power system, and was also responsible for the exploration and research in new directions simultaneously.
Its main business scope focuses on two core areas, namely the active support equipment for the source-end power grid and the new distribution network equipment, and it provides customers with systematic solutions covering the entire product life cycle that are green, flexible, digital and intelligent. In terms of the active support equipment for the source-end power grid, it mainly includes virtual synchronous condensers, grid-forming SVG, etc.; in terms of the new distribution network equipment, it mainly includes flexible interconnection devices, power electronic transformers, DC collection and transmission equipment, medium and high voltage sag mitigation devices, solid-state circuit breakers, direct-mounted new charging systems, power quality treatment devices, etc. It mainly involves overall solutions for intelligent new energy power stations, solutions for new distribution power grids, solutions for off-grid green power systems, solutions for local area integration, comprehensive solutions for off-grid hydrogen production, etc.
As the undertaking unit for the development of the "Hunan Province Joint Research Center for the Development of New Power Systems" by CRRC Zhuzhou Institute, the New Industry Division collaborates with technical units to conduct research on key technologies such as grid-connected friendliness and active support technology, medium and low voltage power grid flexible interconnection technology, distribution network fault isolation and protection technology, etc. It promotes CRRC Zhuzhou Institute to gradually build a complete set of capabilities for the research and development of new power systems, including the source-end power generation equipment, power station support equipment, automatic control systems at the distribution end, flexible interconnection devices, etc. with completely independent intellectual property rights, shapes the high-quality brand image of the company's new power grid equipment products, promotes the high-quality development of the modern industrial chain of the new power system, and helps the implementation of the national "dual carbon" strategic goals.
