CRRC Zhuzhou Institute Launches Yunshu – Grid-Forming Energy Storage PCS
To address the critical "inertia deficit" challenge in power grids, CRRC Zhuzhou Institute leverages its accumulated expertise in power conversion and intelligent control technologies to roll out "Yunshu" – a grid-forming energy storage PCS. It is more than a simple energy storage device; it serves as the "core hub" that proactively safeguards grid stability, with six key technologies directly targeting industry pain points:
1, 5ms ultra-fast response: A "grid stabilizer" 100x faster than a blink
2, 0-20s stepless inertia adjustment: Delivers exactly the "power" the grid needs
3, 1.5ms ultra-fast response: A "grid stabilizer" 100x faster than a blink
4, Interference-free multi-machine parallel operation: Hundreds of devices act like a "precision team"
5, Fully independent core components: Powers the grid with a "Chinese core" for reliability
6, Black-start grid formation: Serves as an "emergency power source" during extreme blackouts
For the Shagehuang (sandy, Gobi, desert) regions plagued by frequent high temperatures and sandstorms, "Yunshu" adopts intelligent liquid cooling for heat dissipation, withstanding harsh environments. In August 2025, the supporting energy storage project of Xiangtou New Energy's Ningxia Hongsibu Photovoltaic Base (Phase I, 1 GW) entered grid-connection commissioning – its core equipment consists of 88 units of CRRC's 2500kW grid-forming energy storage converters.
