On the morning of January 15, 4 units of SDA1 high-end diesel locomotive independently designed and manufactured by CRRC Ziyang Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as CRRC Ziyang) have been delivered from Ziyang, Sichuan province to Australia. This is China’s first batch of high-end diesel locomotives exported to developed country.
Since 2021, CRRC Ziyang has provided a total of 12 uints if SDA1 diesel locomotive with high quality to Australian customers. The locomotives will be used to transport bulk goods and containers to boost Australia's post-covid-19 economic recovery.
These locomotives are the second generation of upgraded products, the first generation of products exported to Australia as early as 2011, creating a precedent for China to export high-end diesel locomotive to developed country. For the second generation of upgraded SDA1 locomotive, the ventilation system, locomotive maintainability and other aspects have been optimized, the riding comfort and comprehensive performance of the locomotive has been greatly improved.
Mr. Li Xining, CRRC's Chief Technical Expert and Chief Engineer of CRRC Ziyang, introduced the several advantages of SDA1 locomotive, which are Low Noise, and the noise in driver's cab is less than 75db; Strong traction capacity, in the ramp of 10‰ line, the traction of multiple-unit operation can exceed 8000 tons; The maximum speed of the locomotive can reach 120 kilometers per hour, which is the right-hand man of the user for long cross distance, heavy duty transport.
It is reported that this is the seventh time "Ziyang made" high-end diesel locomotive exports to developed country. Up to now, CRRC Ziyang has exported 30 units of SDA1 high-end diesel locomotive to Australia.
