Wow! HXN6 Hybrid Locomotive Won the First Prize of CRRC Science and Technology Award

Innovation leads the development

The Project List of "CRRC Science and Technology Award 2020" was announced at the CRRC Science and Technology Quality Information Work Conference 2021. Three projects of CRRC Ziyang were on the list, among which the project of "HXN6 Hybrid Shunting Locomotive Development" won the first prize.

HXN6 hybrid shunting locomotive has not only achieved the goals of fuel saving, emission reduction and noise reduction, but also made a series of major breakthroughs in core technologies, such as integration technology of high-voltage and high-power on-board power battery system with multi-branch parallel connection and module energy division, hybrid automatic management technology, electro-pneumatic hybrid braking technology with priority of dynamic braking, and integration technology of AC drive system using traction converter of existing locomotive to achieve power battery energy control. The achievements include 5 internationally accepted invention patents, 16 domestic invention patents and 8 utility model patents, as well as 6 technical standards of China Railway have been compiled. The overall technology has reached the international leading level, representing the highest level of domestic hybrid locomotive technology.

The development of exported DMU for narrow-gauge intercity railway won the second prize.

Aiming at the environmental characteristics of Africa and Southeast Asia, such as high temperature, heavy wind and sand, the technology platform of DMU for narrow-gauge intercity railway has been built, forming series products with four formations of 2M4T, 1M3T, 2M6T, and 2M10T, and two power supply technologies have been developed, which can be promoted to the countries in Africa, Southeast Asia and other regions through the replacement of broad-gauge, standard-gauge and meter-gauge bogies, laying the foundation for the formation of DMU industrial chain.

The research on fatigue strength post-processing software for structural parts of locomotive and rolling stock based on simulation platform won the third prize.

The fatigue strength post-processing software for structural parts of locomotive and rolling stock based on simulation platform achieves the organic combination of two mainstream methods (fatigue limit method and fatigue damage method) in the fatigue evaluation of diesel locomotive structural parts for the first time, with the functions of data read-in and storage, stress spectrum generation, material database management, automatic data processing, result visualization and evaluation, which have greatly improved the efficiency of fatigue simulation calculation, reduced design costs, and lowered the professional threshold of fatigue simulation analysis.

Facing the beginning year of the "14th Five-Year Plan", CRRC Ziyang will accelerate the pace of technological innovation, insist on innovation-driven development, and conduct in-depth forward-looking technological research, so as to promote high-quality development of the enterprise.
