DF4C Diesel Electric Locomotive

DF4C diesel electric locomotive is a series product developed from DF4B diesel electric locomotive. The nominal power of the locomotive is 2165kW. It can be used as a power unit for passenger and freight traction on main lines. This locomotive is equipped with three-phase AC-DC transmission. Some new components such as traction alternator TQFR-3000B, traction motor ZQDR-410C, 16V240ZJC diesel engine and VTC254-13 trubocharger have been adopted in it. Its car body, running parts and braking system are the same as those of DF4B diesel electric locomotive. The locomotive is equipped with rheostatic braking system.
Achievements from DF4B diesel electric locomotive and components with advanced level are adopted for this DF4C locomotive. Therefore the operating performance, economy, reliability and durability have been improved. DF4C diesel electric locomotives are divided into two kinds, freight locomotive and passenger locomotive.
