The grounding switch, as the safety protection equipment of EMU and locomotive, works to protect the safety of operators when the vehicle enters the maintenance period. It is usually used in conjunction with the circuit breaker and has two working positions: "grounding" position and "operation" position. When the vehicle is running, the grounding switch is separated from the circuit breaker, i.e. the grounding switch is placed in the "running" position; when the vehicle is being maintained, the grounding switch is connected with the circuit breaker to introduce the residual voltage of the vehicle into the ground, i.e. the grounding switch is placed in the "grounding" position, and the high-voltage device of the vehicle is in a power-off state to ensure the safety of maintenance personnel.
Grounding switches can be divided into manual control grounding switch, pneumatic grounding switch and electric grounding switch according to different driving modes.
1.Electric grounding switch
(1)Miniaturization technology of electric transmission mechanism
(2)DC brushless motor protection technology
(3)Optimization and improvement technology of electromagnetic compatibility performance
2.Pneumatic grounding switch
(1)Speed regulation and anti-impact technology
(2)Large current carrying technology
