HXD2B electric locomotive is a 6-axle locomotive developed and manufactured by CRRC Datong Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CRRC Datong"), with a total power of 9600 kW, a single axle power of 1600 kW, and an axle arrangement of C0-C0. It is the electric locomotive with the largest single axle power in the world at present, and its vehicle design level has reached the international first class.
This locomotive is developed based on the heavy-haul freight electric locomotive platform of CRRC Datong. It focuses on the heavy-haul freight demand of major railway bureaus under CHINA RAILWAY and is mainly used for traction tasks of heavy-haul freight, coal transportation and railway transportation production of Datong-Qinhuangdao Railway.
1.Advanced 6500V/600A IGBT elements and double-sided water cooling power modules are adopted, with single-axle power up to 1600kW.
2.The bogie is of a herringbone frame, C0-C0 axle type, nose suspension drive unit and middle push-pull short drawbar structure; the primary suspension is spring suspension, and the secondary suspension is rubber-metal pad.
