Deep Localization of HXD2 Electric Locomotive

  The deeply-localized HXD2 electric locomotive is a HXD2 electric locomotive independently developed by CRRC Datong Co., Ltd. with converter and network control system. The main modifications include the independent development and replacement of the converter and network control system. On the basis of the technology introduced from the HXD2 electric locomotive, the locomotive maintains the overall structure of the body, bogie, traction, and air brake systems largely unchanged. The locomotive key performance parameters, such as speed class, axle load, axle configuration, and traction power, are essentially the same as those of the existing HXD2 electric locomotives. With completely independent intellectual property rights, this locomotive is the only model in China that can realize complete interchangeability of different converter systems and braking systems.

Application Scenario

  1.HXD2 locomotive has a wide operation distribution, strong adaptability to the climate and environment in the north and south, and safe and reliable operation.

  2.HXD2 locomotive can not only adapt to plain areas with small slopes, but also run in mountainous areas with large and harsh slopes.

Key technologies

  1.The self-developed traction converter and auxiliary converter are adopted to keep consistent with the performance and interface of HXD2 locomotive.

  2.The self-developed network control system conforming to TCN standard is adopted, replacing the World FIP network of HXD2 locomotive.
