The high-power electric dual-source shunting locomotive is one of the new energy locomotive platform products of CRRC Datong Co., Ltd. that actively responds to the transformation policy of replacing old diesel locomotives in China. Locomotives are mainly used for shunting and transfer operations in locomotive depots, rolling stock depots, marshalling yards and factories, mines, ports and other places with discontinuous electrification. The locomotive is designed with a power of 3,000 kW at the wheel rim and features technical characteristics including high power, platform-based design, modularity, and intelligence.
The locomotive is capable of hauling a 16,300 t loaded train at most on straight tracks. Assuming that the average traction weight of locomotive is 5,000 t, the annual running mileage is 20,000 km, and the annual cumulative power consumption is about 800,000 kWh, compared with diesel locomotives, it is equivalent to a reduction of fuel consumption by about 266 t, a saving of operating cost by about RMB 1.43 million, and a cumulative reduction of carbon emission by about 888 t.
The high-power electric dual-source shunting locomotive is mainly oriented to the shunting and transfer operation tasks with discontinuous electrification or long window period in locomotive depots, rolling stock depots, marshalling yards, factories, ports and other places. The locomotive can realize different power output at wheel rim and traction performance below 3,000 kW by adjusting different types and electric quantities of power batteries.
1.Dual-source power: The locomotive has two power forms, i.e. pantograph and power battery. Pantograph traction is adopted for electrified lines, while power battery traction is adopted for non-electrified lines or in the possessive interval for construction, greatly improving the efficiency of locomotive operation capacity.
2.Permanent magnet synchronous technology: The locomotive can be compatible with asynchronous motor and permanent magnet synchronous traction motor, and the efficiency of permanent magnet synchronous motor can reach more than 95%.
3.Intelligent design: The intelligent driving system, wireless transmission system, PHM system and other intelligent systems are reserved for the locomotive for users to select according to their needs.
