Belarusian Railways BCG-1

  The Belarusian Railways BCG-1 is a high-power AC drive electric locomotive designed and developed by CRRC Datong Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CRRC Datong") for the national railway of Belarus. It is a broad gauge 8-axle high-power AC drive electric locomotive with a track gauge of 1520 mm, which is based on the prototype of HXD2 high-power AC drive electric locomotive, adopts modular design, and is developed and designed according to the railway operation environment in Belarus. The locomotive of this model was produced in a total of 12 units and was the first electric locomotive from China to obtain ГОСТ certification and be exported to Europe. The locomotive is resistant to low temperature. It has experienced rare low temperatures and blizzards in Belarus, and operates normally under extreme weather conditions.

Application Scenario

  It meets the requirements of freight traction operation on 1520mm broad gauge trunk lines and can adapt to low temperature environment.

Key technologies

  1.Passing ГОСТ certification: Certification of 27 components in 22 categories and vehicle certification were completed, and the certificate of Russia's ГОСТ standard system was obtained. It is the first time for a Chinese locomotive to obtain the certificate of Russia's ГОСТ standard system. This marks that the Belarusian Railways BCG-1 has obtained a pass to enter the railway transportation equipment market of CIS countries.

  2.Low temperature resistance: Through the selection and design of materials, components and parts, and the installation of heating devices in the locomotive, the locomotive can be used normally at -40 ~ +40°C and adapt to alpine environment.

  3.Safety guarantee: The locomotive is equipped with an automatic fire extinguishing device that meets the ГОСТ standard to provide a guarantee for the fire safety of the locomotive.
