SS7D Passenger Electric Locomotive

  Based on the successful experience of the previous SS7 series locomotive, the SS7D electric locomotive is a passenger AC-DC electric locomotive with a power of 4800kW and a maximum speed of 170km/h developed to meet the speed-up demand of China's railway passenger transport. The design work of this locomotive strictly follows the principles of simplification, standardization and serialization, and strives to make the locomotive design advanced, safe and reliable in operation.

Application Scenario

Key technologies

1.The locomotive head shape has been completely redesigned, and the structural design of the cab applies ergonomic principles. The new interior decoration and advanced operating control equipment improve the overall aesthetics and comfort.

2.The main components such as the vehicle body, bogie, transformer, etc. are all lightweight designed, and the locomotive adopts an independent ventilation system.

3.The main circuit adopts three-section unequal bridge phase control and separate excitation circuits, weakening the stepless speed regulation and stepless magnetic field of locomotive.

4.The characteristic control mode of constant current starting and quasi-constant speed operation is adopted, and microcomputer control and LCU logic control unit are adopted.

5.The 3Bo bogie is used for single-side braking, and the motor frame-supported full suspension and wheelset hollow shaft six-link drive are adopted.

6.There is a power supply for train heating and air conditioning, using double-pipe air supply.
