    China’s first subway track-laying new energy rail vehicle is launched

    On Dec 21, 2017, the China’s first subway track-laying new energy rail vehicle was officially put into use on the construction of line No. 21 of Guangzhou metro. It is a pure electric rail vehicle that is jointly developed by CRRC Yongji Electric Co., Ltd and Shanghai Civil Engineering Group Co., Ltd of CREC by April, 2017. The first new energy rail tractor officially put in service after design, installation, debugging and commissioning in eight months.

    The subway track-laying new energy rail vehicle, powered by a lithium iron phosphate battery pack, can run 200km to 250km on a straight road and 100km to 150km on a ramp after be charged less than 3 hours each time. The successful development of the vehicle achieves high-power traction, low noise, and zero emission not only greatly improved the working conditions of the workers, but also protected the environment of city, which is a milestone for the green construction of rail transit.
