Australia Melbourne HCMT Metro Project

On November 21, 2016, the Consortium of CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co., Ltd. won the bid of Australia Victoria High-Capacity Metro Train Project (short for Melbourne Metro Project) in a PPP mode. This project is an important part of Victoria state to build a world-class public transport system, also is the largest metro vehicle purchase project in its history.

Australia Sydney Double-Deck EMUs Project

In 2006 CRRC Changchun Railway got a subcontract of Sydney double-deck electric multiple units, and had delivered all vehicles in early 2014. In late 2016 CRRC Changchun Railway once again obtained orders of Sydney new double-deck EMUs. All vehicles had been upgraded on the basis of original mature platforms, to further improve passengers’ travel experience.

SDA2 AC Transmission Diesel Locomotive

SDA2 is an AC-DC-AC transmission diesel locomotive operated on narrow-gauge rails and used for trunk freight. It adopts three-axle radial bogies with a 20t axle load, whose indicators can be improved through adding weights. The locomotive employs a outside corridor and underframe load-bearing structure with single cab, installed with MTU 20V4000R43 diesel engines, and adopts transmission solutions of integrating main alternators with auxiliary alternators, KNORR ECP+WAP+DP60 distributed electro-pneumatic brake systems, and microcomputer control systems based on CAN-OPEN bus. It features distributed multiple-unit running, full power self-load, low and constant speed control, self-extinguishing in power rooms, forward video capture, emergency escape from front windows, biochemical toilets and mute cooling fans. This type of locomotives has formally put into service in Australia, with good traction and brake performance, as well as reliable quality.

SDA1 Diesel Locomotive

It is based on a two-car group (guiding car and control car) linked by traction rods, and mainly composed of a car body, bottom doors, switching mechanisms, traction buffers, brake rigging, bogies, painting and marking, etc. The underframe is welded by carbon steel, and the contact parts between side walls, end walls, underframes and cargos are made of T4003 ferritic stainless steel. The bottom door is made of aluminum alloy and the switching mechanism is connected by four rods. The bogie is a control type with a 30t axle load from WABTEC. The hopper car operates on 1,435mm gauge rails and is used for coal transportation.

It is a dedicated type combined unloading equipment and car structures, and used for loading and transporting bulk cargos, such as minerals, blocks, ballast, coal and building materials. It is mainly comprised of underframes, carriages, bogies, brake rigging, tipping mechanisms, coupling buffers, etc. The underframe is of an all-steel welded structure and equipped with carriages that can be tipped towards both sides and side doors. Carriages have fixed side walls and columns, and the tipping power source is from hydraulic kinetic energy converted from compressed air through gas-liquid technology. On both sides are set up two synchronous hydraulic cylinders. A crank connecting link-type switching mechanism is used for side doors with remote and manual control operation. It carries a EP60 type electro-pneumatic brake system, TMX-unit brake rigging, automatic parking brake rigging, F type couplers, SL-76 type buffers and low-power/control-type bogies.

Hopper Car for Limestone

Its car body is composed of traction sleepers, end protection devices, end walls, sidewalls, hoppers and bottom doors. Such body is of an all-steel welded structure; parts contacting limestones are made of stainless steel, and others are of carbon steel. Draw beams are of a welded box-type structure. Strikers and front/rear draft lugs are of a welded structure. Side walls are of an arc sheathing structure and end walls are of a slab-column structure. Each car is divided into three hopper areas by two groups of transverse ridges, and sets three sets of independent switching mechanisms, every set controlling two bottom doors. This structure is based on the principle of eccentric self-locking to open/close bottom doors with link gears rotating through dead points. End protection devices are connected to end walls and floors through bolts. The hopper car operates on 1,435mm gauge rails and used for limestone transportation.

KZ78-AUS Type Track Ballast Hopper Car
