Recently, the 5G factory at the TMT Innovation Center earned a place in the "2025 List of 5G Factories" published by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). TMT stands as the sole enterprise in Hunan Province to have successfully passed MIIT’s on-site review for outstanding cases. This honor validates TMT's remarkable achievements in digital transformation, highlighting its technological prowess and innovative breakthroughs in smart manufacturing.
A 5G factory is a cutting-edge facility that fully leverages next-generation information technologies, particularly 5G, to design, build, or upgrade production lines, workshops, factories, and other production sites based on new infrastructure for the industrial internet. It features extensive connectivity among production units, deep integration of ITs and OTs, comprehensive data utilization, and innovative applications to efficiently empower its production and operations.
The TMT Innovation Center's 5G Factory Project, based on a 5G operations management platform, constructs a four-layer architecture from the bottom up: smart equipment layer, network transmission layer, data collection layer, and business system layer. By deeply integrating new-generation 5G communication technologies with smart equipment technologies, the project deploys information systems covering four key sectors: product services, business management, product R&D, and production operations. It establishes 13 "5G + Industrial Internet" application scenarios, including collaborative R&D and design, flexible manufacturing, equipment collaboration, quality inspection based on machine vision, smart logistics at factories, and production energy efficiency control. Its ultimate goal is to create a smart factory with dynamic sensing, real-time analysis, autonomous decision-making, and effective implementation capabilities.
