With an impressive product qualification rate of 99.98%, they have played a pivotal role in helping the company secure the top national ranking in railway locomotive overhaul services for two consecutive years. In recent years, the team has been honored with numerous accolades, including "Advanced Team" and "Worker Pioneer".
Dedication in Action, Record-Breaking Achievements
Faced with the formidable production targets for bogies in 2025, the team united as one and stood firm at their posts. They voluntarily gave up vacations and time with family to go all out in tackling these challenges. As a result, annual production capacity surged by 37% year-on-year. In December alone, they hit a historic high of 54 units in a single month, with a per capita daily output of 2.7 units.
The team implemented grid-based 5S management, fabricated their own tools and fixtures, and optimized both material delivery and overhaul processes, significantly cutting down operation time. With a deep commitment to lean improvement, all members collectively submitted 721 rationalization proposals over the past three years, boosting quality and efficiency through both hard work and smart work.
Stringent Quality Control, Crafting Excellence
The team consistently upholds the baseline for bogie quality control, guided by a philosophy of meticulous craftsmanship. Throughout 2025, they organized multiple targeted quality improvement campaigns, with every member actively participating in identifying and resolving various issues.
They innovated the bolt tightening process, refined station control procedures, and implemented a three-level review and sign-off system for each process. By strictly controlling overhaul quality, they achieved zero handover issues for bogie overhauls and maintained a product first-pass yield of 99.98%. These efforts helped the company secure the top ranking in the national railway locomotive overhaul evaluation for two consecutive years.
Courage to Innovate, Boosting Quality and Efficiency
The bogie team seamlessly integrates innovation into their daily routine, actively tackling complex technical challenges. They introduced an intelligent bolt assembly system, enabling smart monitoring and full traceability for the torque of over 80% of critical bolts.
Through targeted quality improvement projects, they successfully raised the pass rate for Wheel Set Reverse Pressure Test to 100%, and drove the rework rate of wheel centers for CKD9C locomotive overhauls down to zero.
Passing on the Craftsmanship, Keeping the Spirit Alive
The team has made skill development a regular practice. Over the past three years, they have cultivated 2 senior technicians and 3 technicians, with 30 personnel successfully earning qualifications in a second skill.
Led by advanced role models like Deng Bo, the entire team is driven to delve into technical research. They have collectively published over 40 papers and secured 3 patents, laying a solid foundation for the team's continuous skill enhancement and talent cultivation.
