CRRC Ziyang was highly favored at the 42nd ASEAN Railways CEOs’ Conference.
From August 23rd to 25th, the 42nd Association of Southeast Asian Nations Railways Chief Executive Officers’ Conference was held in Da Nang of Vietnam.
More than 170 railway industry representatives and observers from the eight ASEAN countries, i.e. Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, gathered in Da Nang to discuss how to strengthen regional cooperation and connectivity, so as to make important contributions to the social and economic development of each country.
As an important locomotive supplier of Vietnam Railways, CRRC Ziyang was warmly invited by the Conference.
From providing products to exporting technologies, CRRC Ziyang has cooperated with Vietnam Railways for more than 20 years. CRRC Ziyang has successively provided more than 100 locomotives of various types to Vietnam Railways. Nowadays, CRRC Ziyang locomotives, which only account for about one-third of the total number of locomotives in Vietnam, undertake more than 50% of the transport tasks for Vietnam Railways, becoming the main force on Vietnam Railways.
Invited by the Conference, with the theme of "Green Development", CRRC Ziyang introduced its technical breakthroughs and achievements in the fields of diesel locomotives and new energy locomotives, as well as the green road for future development to the participants, gaining attention from the industry. In particular, HXN6 hybrid locomotive with the highest power level of the world introduced by the Company received great attention from the ASEAN delegations.
HXN6 hybrid locomotive is the only hybrid locomotive that has obtained the Type Certificate and Production License issued by the National Railway Administration, and is commercialized sold in China now.
Mr. Deng Shimeng, General Manager of Vietnam Railways, said in his communication with the delegation of CRRC Ziyang, “I am very happy that, as our old friend, the development direction of CRRC Ziyang’s new products is once again in line with the future needs of Vietnam Railways. In the past, CRRC Ziyang has built high-quality DOIMOI locomotives for Vietnam Railways. In the future, I hope to have cooperation opportunities on the new products introduced by CRRC Ziyang."
