Recently, WESTbahn sent a letter to CRRC ZELC, fully acknowledging the professional performance and strong sense of responsibility demonstrated by the integrated maintenance and after-sales team stationed in Austria for the double-deck EMUs during the handling of an unexpected line emergency. WESTbahn also expressed its anticipation for both parties to continuously maintain a long-term, efficient, and mutually beneficial cooperative relationship.
On the night of July 16, a catenary detachment fault occurred on the Austrian Western Railway line, causing the T01 train in service to activate its safety protection system and initiate an emergency stop. The on-site team immediately activated the emergency response plan, arriving at the scene within 10 minutes. They coordinated with local police and fire departments to secure the site and evacuate passengers, and swiftly completed the safe relocation of the train.
It has been verified that the fault was caused by external line facilities, and the train system itself showed no abnormalities. With close collaboration between domestic and overseas technical teams, the onsite crew worked around the clock for 48 hours to ensure the train returned to service on schedule, minimizing the client's operational losses.
