On June 1, 2015, two of the largest railroad vehicle manufacturers in China – former China CNR Corporation Limited and China CSR Corporation Limited – merged into one company re-named China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation Limited (CRRC).
Prior to being renamed CRRC, CNR CRC was established in 1954 and is a leading professional rolling stock manufacturer producing high speed trains, mass transit vehicles and passenger coaches.
CRRC MA
CRRC MA, the corporation’s first North American office, was established in 2015 in Boston, Massachusetts upon award of the MBTA Orange Red railcar contract. Located at 100 Summer Street in the City’s Financial District, CRRC MA’s project office is the primary co – location for CRRC MA and MBTA engineering teams working collaboratively on the MBTA Orange and Red Line Car Project.
