CRRC unveiled three rail vehicles at InnoTrans 2026, which opened at Messe Berlin on September 22. Under the theme “Building Multiple Value-Creation Capabilities for Future Mobility,” the company showcased technologies and integrated solutions to support greener, smarter rail transport worldwide.

CRRC Chairman Sun Yongcai and other senior executives attended the opening and related events. Representatives from government, railway operators, industry associations, and certification bodies joined the vehicle unveiling ceremony.

  Three New Vehicles Unveiled

On the opening day, Chinese cultural performances drew crowds to CRRC’s outdoor exhibition area. CRRC then unveiled the VELLINK digitally integrated metro train, the VELFORCE 2,000 kW hydrogen fuel cell hybrid locomotive, and the MAGIX intelligent flat wagon. Combining green and intelligent technologies, the three vehicles showcased CRRC’s equipment innovation across diverse applications.

Representatives from government, railway operators, industry associations, and certification bodies joined the unveiling ceremony.

Sun reaffirmed CRRC’s commitment to being a trusted long-term partner in developing more sustainable, efficient, and intelligent transport. Other speakers highlighted the importance of integrating vehicle, energy, and digital technologies, strengthening industry collaboration, and improving transport safety and reliability.

CRRC introduced its VELLINK urban rail vehicle brand to international markets, with a metro train designed to meet urban commuting needs worldwide. The train incorporates embodied intelligence technology, using multiple sensors to monitor operating conditions, detect abnormalities, and provide early fault warnings to help reduce maintenance costs.

Lightweight materials and integrated systems reduce the train’s weight by approximately 18% and overall energy consumption by more than 10% compared with conventional urban rail vehicles. Its industrial design received an international iF Design Award. Panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, a starry-sky ceiling, and rotating seats enhance the passenger experience.

The VELFORCE 2,000 kW hydrogen fuel cell hybrid locomotive represents CRRC’s alternative-energy locomotive platform. Its two fuel cell stacks operate in parallel, delivering a combined output of 400 kW. Refueling takes 15–20 minutes, and hydrogen utilization exceeds 98%.

An independently developed intelligent driving platform combines deep learning with data from multiple sensors, enabling 360-degree environmental perception and autonomous decision-making. The locomotive brings together zero-emission operation and intelligent technologies to support greener rail traction.

Designed for yard shunting and intermodal transport, the MAGIX intelligent flat wagon weighs just 17 metric tons and carries a payload of up to 73 metric tons. Its lightweight design reduces energy consumption from the outset. Combining modularity, automation, environmentally friendly features, intelligent functions, and operational flexibility, MAGIX reduces weight and costs while improving freight transport efficiency.

  Integrated Solutions for Future Mobility

CRRC’s exhibition featured more than 40 products, including high-speed trains, urban rail vehicles, freight locomotives, and low-carbon core components. Interactive digital displays presented its life-cycle services and integrated rail solutions. Technical presentations and business meetings also provided opportunities for customers and partners to explore cooperation.

Focusing on green technologies, digital intelligence, and system integration, CRRC is developing intelligent rail products across all speed categories, supported by coordinated cloud, edge, and onboard computing. Drawing on its overseas project experience, the company offers integrated solutions throughout the rail value chain. Its independently developed AIZOR AI large model supports equipment development, manufacturing, operations, and maintenance to improve efficiency.

On the opening day, CRRC held a series of technical presentations highlighting product features and practical applications, drawing strong visitor interest. Business meetings took place at the booth alongside coverage by major Chinese and international media, visits from overseas content creators, and live broadcasts to global audiences through CRRC’s official video channel. Together, these activities made CRRC a focal point on the first day of InnoTrans 2026.

Marking its 30th anniversary, InnoTrans attracted more than 3,000 exhibitors worldwide, including over 200 Chinese companies, reflecting the growing international presence of China’s rail transit industry.
