  In August 2025, CRRC successfully held its 2025 Carbon Asset Data Management Talent Training in Weihai, Shandong. 95 participants all passed assessments and receiving Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) talent-upskilling certificates (100% pass rate). The high-level course—focused on “carbon + data”—is a concrete step in CRRC’s green and low-carbon and digital transformation, and an active response to China’s “dual-carbon” strategy and data-factor market reforms.

  Efficient Organization. Despite typhoon disruptions, a Party member service team provided 24/7 support—securing late-night lodging, meals, and reassurance—ensuring no one missed a class.

  Dual-Track Focus: Data × Carbon. Twelve experts from MIIT-affiliated think tanks, Nankai University, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences delivered modules spanning national data strategy, GIS–LCA hands-on practice, CRRC carbon-accounting model building, and data-factor market pathways—aligned with CRRC’s Sustainable Supply Chain and carbon-neutral objectives.

  Through carbon assets development simulations and data modeling, trainees practiced:

  1. Precise carbon data monitoring and trusted evidence;
  2. GIS–LCA visualization and dynamic management;
  3. Data-asset registration, valuation, and market allocation;
  4. Green supply chain redesign for dual-carbon goals.

  From Learning to Doing. Participants strengthened skills in MA carbon codes application, carbon footprint tracing, carbon data accounting, carbon-asset operations, and on-book data practices. In a session led by Xue Haifeng, Deputy Director of the CRRC Group Operations Department, the next-phase priorities were clarified and 23 actionable suggestions were proposed during the discussion.

  To the Future: Sustaining Momentum for Green and High-Quality Development. After the training, participants expressed strong demand for advanced sessions and customized in-house programs. The Opinions on Promoting Green and Low-Carbon Transformation and Strengthening the National Carbon Market emphasizes the need to establish sound carbon data management mechanisms and to deeply integrate data factors with green and low-carbon development. This training exemplified CRRC’s proactive response to these policy directions, providing a replicable model for cultivating carbon management talent across the industry.

  CRRC Asset Management Co., Ltd. will next launch the Carbon Asset Management Advanced Practice Program, deepening topics such as GIS–LCA application, carbon-data financial innovation, and data-asset quality evaluation, thereby continuing to inject strong talent-driven momentum into the company’s pursuit of green, high-quality development.

  CRRC is putting data to work to drive green change and developing talent to power a low-carbon future. With higher vision, concrete actions, and stronger commitment, CRRC is accelerating along the new dual-carbon track, setting a fresh benchmark for the green transformation of Chinese manufacturing.
