Recently, the intelligent CR electrical multiple units (EMU) made by CRRC traveled between Beijing West Station and Hong Kong West Kowloon Station. The operation start of the intelligent CR EMU in Hong Kong better meets the needs of the people in mainland China and Hong Kong, and facilitates the business flow across the border.
Beijing-Hong Kong High-speed Railway connects Beijing and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and is a high-speed passenger transporta
tion artery between the south and the north of China. Out of the 164 cross-border high-speed trains that have resumed operation, only two are operating between Beijing and Hong Kong，and both are CRRC intelligent CR EMU. CR400BF-Z intelligent CR EMU is a new generation of EMU independently developed by CRRC with full intellectual property rights. The train compartment features a simple and modern style, and the overall design of the train is more user-friendly, improving the riding experience of passengers. Meanwhile, Wi-Fi based on 5G technology is available throughout the intelligent CR EMU. This, together with the coverage of 5G network signals along the line, will provide better quality voice calls and mobile network services for passengers.
To ensure the smooth operation of the intelligent CR EMU, the CRRC team actively carried out special rectification work. During the routine check of maintenance items, the team worked with Guangzhou EMU depot to complete the maintenance of 171 routine check items.
