FORM: 16/04/2023 Browse number:

Recently, the second batch of 4 trains of the CRRC-Portugal (Porto) metro and maintenance project successfully reached the Leixoes Port. When delivered to the client, 5 trains will go through concurrent commissioning and testing to meet the operational requirements as planned.

Portugal’s RPT TV Station interviewed personnel of the Porto metro depot, and videotaped the metro vehicle under testing. Relevant leader from CRRC Tangshan was also interviewed on site. RPT reported that some new vehicles will be put into operation for Porto Metro. The new metro vehicles are undergoing safety tests – the train was loaded with 17 tons of sandbags, and simulated passenger-carrying operation.

Porto is a port city in northern Portugal, the second largest city in Portugal and an important economic center in the north. After the new metro trains are put into operation, the increasing local metro traffic needs will be satisfied, supporting the further expansion of the metro network, and providing convenience for transportation in the city.
