Recently, China’s first tourism tram project with independent right-of-way undertaken by CRRC Tangshan, Wuyi New District tourism rail transit project, successfully started operation and attracted much attention.
Wuyi New District tourism line is 26.185km long, with a designed speed of 70km/h and a one-way operation time of 35 minutes. CRRC Tangshan developed 12 100% low-floor trams for the project. The train adopts anti-corrosion aluminum alloy for tis body, and the material features light weight and high strength. Maximum capacity of the train is 394 persons. Advanced technologies including individual wheel bogie and high-degree freedom hinge assembly are used, with multiple features leading in the tram industry. The design theme of the train incorporates elements of scenery, ecology, culture and history along the line, creating for passengers unique experiences of “different scenery and culture for different stations”.
CRRC provides full lifecycle, systematic service solutions for the project, covering six core segments like mass transit vehicles, routine maintenance, smart operation and maintenance, frame overhaul, spare parts and depots, significantly improving reliability of the equipment, reducing energy consumption and carbon emission, and reducing the costs of the full lifecycle.
