Recently, the first train for Shenzhen Metro Line 14 made by CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co., Ltd. (CRRC Changchun) was officially delivered to the user. At the delivery ceremony, CRRC Changchun signed a cooperation agreement with Shenzhen Metro Group, and both parties will enhance their cooperation in the development and manufacture of China’s new standard metro trains.
The train for Shenzhen Metro Line 14 comprises 8 cars, adopts Type A aluminum alloy bodies, and has the maximum operating speed of 120km/h. This is an autonomous driving project designed according to the highest international level GOA4, and the 5 categories of detection systems can monitor the vehicle status real time, ensuring safety during autonomous driving. The train for Line 14 adopts a streamlined body, a color of bright yellow as its dominant hue, and the roc element of the Chinese tradition. It changes the traditional waistline coating to undulating lines that look more dynamic.
Compared with the existing metro lines in Shenzhen, Line 14 has a longer operation route, and the distance between stations is bigger. For this reason, unique in-car facilities like horizontal seats and wireless chargers are provided. Meanwhile, the train’s airtightness is improved, and its noise level is reduced though multiple designs, satisfying the comfort need of long-distance passengers.
