Recently, the first CDA5C1 locomotive developed and manufactured by CRRC Qishuyan for Guinea official rolled off the line, and representatives of multiple clients and some employees of CRRC Qishuyan attended the roll-off-line ceremony.
The CDA5C1 AC drive diesel locomotive for Guinea is a new type of locomotive developed in the form of platform building based on the FXN5C/CDA5A1 AC drive cargo diesel locomotive, while considering the existing technologies and technology development trends of AC drive cargo diesel locomotives. The locomotive’s track gauge is 1435mm, axle load is 25t, maximum operating speed is 100km/h, starting traction is 620kN, and continuous traction is 565kN.
Based on the needs of the user, the train adopts multiple customization designs, including the R16V280ZJ diesel engine that has an intellectual property and with an electric fuel injection control system. The locomotive body adopts a side wall truss bearing structure with a single driver room and an internal corridor, as well as a DK-2 braking system. The CDA5C1 locomotive is expected to significantly improve the rail transportation capacity in Guinea.
