Recently, China-Laos Railway officially started operation. The CR200J power integrated EMU simultaneously started their journey from Kunming of China/Vientiane of Laos to Vientiane of Laos/Kunming of China, marking the everlasting friendship between China and Laos.
Two types of EMU were used in the operation start of Kunming-Vientiane section of China-Laos Railway, namely Fuxing’s “Giant Green” EMU for the section in China and “Lancang” EMU for the section in Laos. “Lancang” EMU is customized based on Laos’ local natural environment, road conditions and culture, adopting red, blue and white of Laos’ national flag as the painting colors. The design theme of the interior décor integrates elements of traditional cultures and regions of China and Laos. Both the display of the EMU’s control interface and the passenger interface feature Chinese, Laotian and English, satisfying the needs of passengers and staff of different countries. “Lancang” EMU adopts multiple advanced EMU technologies and people-oriented design, improving the comfort level of passengers.
CRRC will provide integrated operation and maintenance services for China-Laos Railway. Multiple service stations will be set up in the section in China and the section in Laos, offering operation and maintenance services during the train’s full lifecycle and ensuring safe operation of China-Laos Railway. With the support of CRRC, China-Laos Railway will bring convenient transportation for the people of the two countries and drive the economic development of the areas along the railway.
