Recently, Luoyang Metro Line 1 was put into operation, and the “Luoyang-made” trains started the metro era of the thousand-year ancient capital. Luoyang has also become the first among the non-capital cities in Central and Western China to have a metro.
Luoyang Metro Line 1 was manufactured by Luoyang CRRC Rail Transit Equipment Co., Ltd. under CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co., Ltd. Type-B trains are adopted, and every train consists of six carriages. With a speed of 80km/h, the train has a capacity of 1,460 passengers, with a maximum capacity of 2,062 persons.
The train manifests the design concept of innovation, energy conservation, safety and comfort. It features automatic car washing, automatic whistling and counterpoint adjustment. When there is deviation in inbound parking, the train can complete precision benchmark parking by itself. Light design is adopted, and there are other features like automatic light adjustment, enabling the lighting brightness to be adjusted automatically based on the environment. The train’s exterior design incorporates the Luoyang elements, such as the blooming peony, the flowing ribbon, and the line drawing of peony, both highlighting the city’s cultural deposits and reflecting the inheritance of the Silk Road.
