At 11:05 a.m. on 26 June 2017, two new Chinese standard EMU trains named “Fuxing”, CR400AF and CR400BF, were put into operation on Beijing-Shanghai High-speed Railway and originated from Beijing and Shanghai respectively at the same time.

The day before, Chinese standard EMU train was named “Fuxing”. Lu Dongfu, general manager of China Railway Corporation.announced on behalf of CHINA RAILWAY (CR) that the new high-speed train was to be named "Fuxing”. Together with Liu Hualong, Chairman of CRRC, manufacturer of two EMUs.

Developed by CRRC and under the leadership of CR, the world-class high-speed trains are of proprietary intellectual property rights. Its successful operation marks that China has been a front-runner in the world in terms of complete technology and equipment of railway, especially high-speed EMUs.

G123 left Beijing South Railway Station for Shanghai. At the same time, G124 left Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station for Beijing. They, like two flying dragons, reached a speed of over 300 kilometers per hour only in three minutes, with little noticeable noise and swaying inside the train. The “Fuxing" trains symbolize that the development of China’s railway technology and equipment has entered a brand-new era. CRRC would design and develop internationally-competitive complete EMU technologies and products based on “Fuxing" platform, and actively expand the overseas market, promoting Chinese high-speed railway’s “go-global” efforts.
