On 3 Jan., 2017, two electric locomotives for Serbia which meet EU standards left CRRC Zhuzhou Co., Ltd.
The new locomotive was designed according to EN, TSI standard. The truck gauge is 1,435 mm. The rated power is 7,000 kW and the max. speed is 140 km/h.
CRRC Zhuzhou signed a contract with Nikola Tesla Thermal Power Plant in Beograd, Serbia for supply of two electric locomotives in March 2016. This is the first rolling stock order of CRRC in Serbia by international bid.
Nikola Tesla Thermal Power Plant was founded in 1991 and is a state-owned subsidiary of Electric Power Industry, Serbia.The annual coal transport capacity of plant is 25 million tons, even over the amount of Serbia National Railways.
