The first train of Urumqi subway Line 1 unveiled on Nov 1 impressing people with its distinctive and original designs.
The information screens located inside the carriage are displayed in Chinese, Uyghur language and English.
The train features many original designs, including evacuation gates, waist support designs on the seats and special areas for wheelchairs, strollers and luggage.
"The evacuating gates are much larger than many trains in other regions," said He Enguang, vice president of CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co, who manufactured the trains.
Assembly and debugging work on the first carriage has been completed and the train will be put to use in 2017 when other carriages are completed.
Members of the opening ceremony delegation fill the first carriage of the Urumqi subway Line 1 on Nov 1.
