On 28 April, CRRC Ziyang Co. signed a contract with TPI Polene (TPIPL), Thailand for supply 4 narrow gauge AC diesel locomotives. This is the third time for CRRC Ziyang to cooperate with TPI Polene. The first time is in 1992 for 4 locomotives and the second time is in 2013 for 8 locomotives. Up to now, the total contract number is 16 locomotives.
New locomotives will use advanced three phase transmission and micro-computer control system. The axle load is less than 16-ton and the max speed is 100 km/h.
