On Dec. 4, 2015, Chinese President Xi Jinping unveiled the exhibition of China-Africa Equipment Manufacturing Industry Exhibition in Johannesburg, South Africa. As a highlight event taking place during the 2-day Johannesburg Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), the exhibition showcased fist products by about 50 Chinese and African manufacturers.
As the main supplier of African railway equipment and outstanding contributor of African railway modernization, CRRC Chairman Cui Dianguo and Vice-president Yu Weiping attended the event.
China's State Councilor Yang Jiechi, Director of National Development and Reform Commission Xu Shaoshi also visited CRRC stand to view the CRRC models of China's standardized electric multiple units. They are key organizer for promoting China to the world.
In Summit day, CRRC presented a model of Chinese high-speed train to Chairman of the African Union Commission Dlamini Zuma. Chairman Zuma is a firm advocate for construction of high-speed railway in Africa.
Up to now, CRRC have supplied thousand of rolling stock to 29 African countries, including DMUs, locomotives, coaches, wagons, LRVs, etc. CRRC not only supply quality products for African railway transportation, but also contribute to good service for local construction.
