HXD2 Eight-axle High Power Freight Electric Locomotive

Introduction

HXD2 is AC-DC-AC driven electric locomotive which is developed for driving 20,000 tons heavy loading freight train from Datong to Qinhuangdao. The locomotive is based on PRIMA series locomotive of Alstom with worldwide advanced and mature design concept, standard technology and parts indicating advanced locomotive design and manufacturing technology.  

 

Main technical characteristics:

1、Axle power is1250kW and total power is 10000KW which is largest power in domestic locomotive.

2、Adopt Bo-Bo bogie and welding frame, rolling axle suspension motor hang, asynchronous traction motor, push-pull type central low draw bar, secondary flexcoil spring design, all of these make the locomotive having high adhesion, safety and comfort

3、The complete bearing welding carbody structure, no beam frame corrugated plate side wall, under frame structure organic bond with rack can bear 3600kN compression and 2500kN stretching from longitudinal direction.

4、The metal material is used with perfect notched bar impact strength under -40℃, as the result, the locomotive is widely used.

5、Micro computer control system based on WorldFIP network telecom technology is used with perfect control, monitor, examine and repair. Single axle control can ensure each wheelset bringing into play best form

6、Adopt independent ventilation system and middle corridor. It has rest room for drivers which is equipped with double-sleeping berth, air-conditioning, oven, refrigerator, water dispenser and toilet.
