Liu Kean, General Manager and Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of Zhuzhou CSR Times Electric Co., Ltd.
Liu Kean was born in September 1971, with Chinese nationality and without right of residence abroad. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in industrial electric automation from Tongji University, a master’s degree in business administration from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, and a doctor’s degree in transportation engineering from Central South University. He holds the title of professor-level senior engineer. Currently, Mr. Liu is the member of Decision-making Committee of CRRC Zhuzhou Institute and the General Manager of Zhuzhou CSR Times Electric Co., Ltd. Mr. Liu joined in the company in August, 1994 and served as the head of R&D department of technology center, director of technology center, CTO, chief engineer and vice director of institute of research of Zhuzhou CSR Times Electric Co., Ltd in the past. He worked as the vice general manager and chief engineer, vice director of institute of research and general manager of semiconductor division of Zhuzhou CSR Times Electric Co., Ltd. from January of 2014 to December of 2015; the general manager of Zhuzhou CSR Times Electric Co., Ltd. since December of 2015; the executive director of Zhuzhou CSR Times Electric Co., Ltd. From January 2016 to August 2020; and the general manager and deputy secretary of party committee of Zhuzhou CSR Times Electric Co., Ltd. since August 2020. Mr. Liu has been long engaged in the R&D of high-power convertors and control technology, has directed and participated in over 20 provincial level and above research projects, has published over 30 professional papers, and was the first person to draft three national standards and one railway standard. He has been awarded with a number of prizes including one second class State Technological Invention Award, two second class National Scientific and Technological Progress Awards and three China Patent Gold Awards. Mr. Liu was recognized as one of the Young and Middle-aged Experts with Outstanding Contributions, one of the National Hundred, Thousand and Ten Thousand Talents, one of the National Young and Middle-aged Leading Talents in Scientific and Technological Innovation, was selected for the third batch of the National 10,000 People Plan, and enjoys a special subsidy from The State Council. He has also won the Zhan Tianyou Railway Science and Technology Award, China Association of Inventions “Contemporary Inventor” Award, National Outstanding Entrepreneur Award and other awards.
