CRRC Zhuzhou Institute Co., Ltd. is now a first-class wholly-owned subsidiary of CRRC Corporation Limited. In 2006, CRRC Zhuzhou Institute established the Wind Power Division (CRRC Zhuzhou Institute Wind Power for short), which is mainly engaged in the research, sales, and intelligent operation and maintenance of wind turbines, the development, construction, operation, and transfer of new energy projects such as wind farms and photovoltaic power stations, and the research and application of integrated clean energy system solutions. CRRC Zhuzhou Institute Wind Power is committed to the efficient use of global wind and solar energy, and promotes the sustainable development of human society. The cumulative total output value exceeded RMB 30 billion from 2020 to 2022. The main products include 1.5MW-10MW onshore WTGs and 8MW-15MW offshore WTGs.
Over the past 17 years, relying on the strong high-end equipment manufacturing system of CRRC Zhuzhou Institute and the unique advantages of the whole industrial chain of CRRC, CRRC Zhuzhou Institute Wind Power has constructed six technical platforms (including the System Solution Platform, Intelligent WTG Platform, Grid-friendly Technology Platform, Digital Platform, Test and Verification Platform, Smart O&M Service Platform）and six guarantee systems (including Industrial Chain Guarantee System, High-End Equipment Manufacturing System, End-to-End Product Quality System, Product Reliability Testing and Verification System, Project Management Standardization System, and HR Supporting System) based on the full life cycle of the wind power products. These platforms and systems provide the best CRRC LCOE solutions for application scenarios such as large-scale bases, mountains, plateaus, distributed and offshore applications.
Based on the three root technologies "devices, materials, algorithms" of CRRC Zhuzhou Institute, CRRC Zhuzhou Institute Wind Power has been successfully applied key core technologies of the rail transit industry such as system integration, converter, and control technologies to wind power, PV, and integrated energy business. It also has mastered many cutting-edge core technologies such as high-precision wind power prediction, energy guide platform, ultra-high tower, "one turbine, one storage", cloud-edge collaboration PHM, WTG digital twinship, unattended, blade deicing, wind/PV/storage coupling, and integrated energy management system to contribute CRRC wisdom to the new era of "zero carbon".
