KZ4A Electric Locomotive

KZ4A locomotive was AC drive high speed passenger electric locomotive, which was developed based on Locomotive Purchase Contract signed by ZELC and KTZ on Nov. 5, 2001. The locomotive is applied to railway lines in the Republic of Kazakhstan. It is mainly applied to draft Talgo high speed tilting passenger train purchased from Spain, and its maximum speed reaches 210km/h. The principles of advance, maturity, economy, applicability and reliability are adhered to in the process of development. The first model of locomotive was inaugurated on March 12, 2004.
