Details of China's Development (Xinhua News Agency)

Khan, 30 years old and Aha, 27 years old, are the "reader" and "knower" of the story. In the year of 2010, Khan left his hometown-Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan, and pursued undergraduate and postgraduate degree at Northwestern Polytechnical University and Xi'an Jiaotong University in China, majoring in electrical engineering. In the year of 2015, Aha graduated from the University of Lahore and entered the Beijing Institute of Technology to pursue master degree in automation and control engineering.

Khan and Aha admire China’s world-leading high-speed rail technology, which is known for lightning speed of EMUs. They really want to know how China achieved such remarkable results in a short period of time, and eventually returned to China to help Pakistan improve electricity and transportation. Electricity and transportation are key infrastructures that have helped China rise rapidly in the past few decades.

Khan and Aha graduated in the year of 2017. In the same year, they were recruited to work in CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co., ltd. It is the world's largest electric locomotive development base and the birthplace of China’s EMU technology, achieved reputation as the Rail Transit Dream Factory. Khan work in locomotive electrical engineering and Aha in locomotive commissioning .

The predecessor of CRRC ZELC is Zhuzhou Workshop, founded in 1936 by Cheng Xiaogang and Mao Yixin, China’s experts of railway mechanical engineering. They both returned from studying at US universities.

In the ten years before the founding of new China (in the year of 1949), the factory is mainly in charge of maintenance of steam locomotives. Nine years after the founding of new China, it give birth to China’s first electric locomotive. Nowadays, it has become a world-class town for developing high-end railway equipment such as intercity EMUs and maglev trains.

Khan and Aha said that learned and been cultivated in CRRC ZELC, they have become the most urgently needed talents in their country. They are  grateful for the guidance and learning in China.
