The development of manufacturing depends on innovation.
As China's economy enters the stage of high-quality development, innovation is the only way to make manufacturing solid, strong and excellent.
On the side of government, it needs to speed up the construction of national manufacturing innovation system to build a batch of high-level manufacturing innovation center and innovative leading enterprises. It also needs to cultivate a number of world-class advanced manufacturing clusters to promote the real economy for high-end development. On the side of enterprises, it needs to improve technology innovation system which should take the enterprise as the main body, take market demand as guide and integrate production, education and R&D to improve added value of products and to improve the contribution of innovation in manufacturing.
China encourages enterprises to do innovation, but some policies involving the access are not in step, such as the allocation of science and technology resources, scientific research project application, approval process of new products, which are suggested to simplify. Enterprises should carry out quality-improvement actions in all-round way, and use new technologies, new formats and new models to upgrade traditional industries and realize intelligent production and intelligent products.
