On December 8, 2017 International Maglev Forum was held in Zhangjiajie on the theme of “Innovation and Application of Maglev Train ". Some well-known maglev field experts from the United States, Germany, Russia, South Korea, Japan and China, made international academic exchanges on maglev technical innovation and industrial application, and discussion on future development of maglev technology, compatibility of maglev traffic and urban transport.
This forum was jointly organized by Hunan SASAC and China Maglev Traffic Engineering Technology Research Center, co-hosted by Hunan Rail Transit Holding Group Co., Ltd., Hunan Maglev Technology Research Center and Zhangjiajie Traffic Construction Investment Co., Ltd., and co-organized by CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co., Ltd. and Hunan Maglev Transportation Development Co., Ltd. The forum attracted more than 200 representatives for 70 research institutes, universities and business circles from home and abroad.
The forum also showcased the achievement of Hunan Maglev Traffic Engineering represented by Changsha Maglev Express. In May last year, Changsha Maglev Express, the first domestic maglev commercial operation that completely owns independent intellectual property rights, successfully started its passenger operation in Changsha and became a beautiful business card of “Intelligent manufacturing in Hunan". At present, Hunan initially planned 8 maglev lines including Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Project, Zhangjiajie Project and Changsha Xiangjiang New District Project.
