Nikola Tesla Power Plant is a state-owned enterprise which belongs to Serbia Electric Power Corporation. Their self-owned railway has transportation capacity of 25 million tons per year for coal. The power plant has never bought new locomotives since 30 years. The locomotives made by CRRC ZELC are developed according to European standard with highest operation speed of 140km/h. The power supply is 7000KW which can haul 4500 tons of freight.

In recent years, CRRC ZELC provided mass transit vehicles for Ankara and Izmir in Turkey. The exported EMU train-sets for Macedonia can satisfy with TSI standard. Moreover, the first shunting locomotive powered by super capacitor and battery for Austria and the new-type EMUs for Czech are also developed by CRRC ZELC. Thus CRRC ZELC becomes the only Chinese enterprise which exports full-scale rail transportation equipment to Europe.
