CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co.,Ltd (CRRC ZELC) signed contract of 42 driverless metro for LRT 3 on 2nd August with Malaysia.
This is first driverless protect which is a milestone in rail transportation industry is lead by Chinese enterprise. Innovation technology is adopted by CRRC ZELC.
This vehicle adopts GOA4 technology which is the best one in the field of driverless metro. There is no driver or other crew members on the car. The vehicle can realize sleep, awake, preparation, self-examination, operation, stop, door-open and door-closed, self-cleaning automatically. Moreover, the metro could be recovered in fault cases in automatically. The speed can reach 80km/h with passenger load of 1271 people.
The president of CRRC ZELC Zhou Qinghe said that Malaysia is in rapid development. The rail transportation market has huge potential. At present, CRRC ZELC has manufacturing and maintenance base in Malaysia to realize the upgrade from product exportation to the output of technology+manufacturing+service. According to the plan, 40 driverless metros will be manufactured in local. This strategy will encourage the local cultivation of talents and industry.
