On the eve of International Women's Day, All-China Federation of Trade Union held a commendation meeting for collectives and individuals of nationwide outstanding women staff at the Great Hall of the People on Feb. 27th. Zeng Yanmei, who is senior engineer of R&D center of CRRC ZELC, won National Women Labor Medal. And only 10 women won this prize in China.
“I am deeply moved by representatives' reports and story. They are outstanding persons in their field. Maybe the winners just give 10 minutes of speech, but they need decades of perseverance and effort to be here. All the participants are deeply moved by their advanced deeds." a present female representative said.
Before the meeting, Li Jianguo who is member of CPC Central Committee, 12th NPC Vice Chairman and Chairman of All-China Federation of Trade Union, met all advanced female collective and individual representatives and gave his congratulations. Li Yubin who is secretary of All-China Federation of Trade Union Party Group,Vice chairman and head of the Secretariat , sent the congratulations to advanced collectives and individuals. Deng Kai, vice secretary of All-China Federation of Trade Union Party Group, hosted the meeting. Yan Jinghua, who is vice chairman of All-China Federation of Trade Union and secretary of Secretariat, proclaimed Decision of All-China Federation of Trade Union on National Women Labor Medal and National Women Labor Model.
10 collectives won National Women Labor Medal, such as BDS research team of 54th research institution of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation. And 10 individuals such as Zeng Yanmei won National Women Labor Medal. At the same time, All-China Federation of Trade Union conferred the title of National Women Labor Model on 299 collectives and 300 individuals. Four advanced collective and individual representative made a speech in the meeting.
It has been 18 years since Zeng Yanmei graduated from Changsha Railway University (Central South University). She is passionate and concentrated on studying bogie of railway and metro. Bogie project of Type A metro at the speed of 120km/h what she is responsible for, filled the bogie technology gap in the metro of 120km/h speed. The products and technologies developed by Zeng Yanmei contributed more than 50 billion of sales revenue in these years. By sharing technical expertise, the project she worked led to a growth in 10 industries such as steel industry, gear drive and electric machine.
Zeng Yanmei said that the meeting is an opportunity to make self-improvement as the saying goes, 'make still further progress', she will contributes more in her work. This golden medal is not only an encouragement for her, but also a prize for all female engineers' hardworking and efforts.
