China New Service Changsha Dec. 7th (Luo Qian & Liu Tiansheng) Ultra-capacitor electric vehicle runs in Europe successfully for the first time. CRRC ZELC discloses that 18-meter ultra-capacitor electric vehicle (2 sets) customized for Graz by its subsidiary company, Zhejiang CRRC Electric Vehicle Co., Ltd. runs along the testing line for the first time. Important figures of Graz visit the site, including mayor, director of Transportation Bureau and CEO of Local Public Transportation etc.
18-meter ultra-capacitor is researched & developed by CRRC ZELC independently, featuring passenger capacity with 135 persons and main power supply of 60000F ultra-capacitor with fast charging mode. The whole vehicle satisfies rigid standards of E.U. certification and passes electromagnetic compatibility test. Fast charging stations with L-charging piles are separately located at one end and at the middle of 3.5km testing line 34E. When the vehicle arrives at stations, its pantograph will rise automatically and charging will be finished within 30s (passengers getting on or off) to realize 24h-continuous operation.
Project manager of Graz testing line introduces that Graz Local Public Transportation invites bid for 2 testing lines, 18-meter ultra-capacitor electric vehicle with high reliability, perfect performance and pleasing appearance wins the invitation as the exclusive show vehicle. During the pre-commissioning, on-site commissioning staff and engineers maintain close communication with the customer, and cooperate with construction party tacitly, which makes the operator be full of confidence in technology and service of ZELC.
It is learned that the vehicle attended “2016 German Hannover Commercial Vehicle Show” on Sep. 22nd of this year, which attracted extensive attention from all over the world. On 15th of this month, the vehicle will be put into operation along the testing line.
