News on 26th Noveber (Reporter: Zhang Chunbao, Su Xiaozhou, Jiang Lin, Yangjian) 80 years ago, Zhuzhou was built based on railway network and steam locomotive assembly factory. Nowadays, Zhuzhou is a leading manufacturing center of maglev train, high-speed train, new energy driven buses, mass transits, light-weight aircraft and new material. In November, the journalist visited Zhuzhou to experience the change from “Made in China” to “Create in China”.
In the world biggest electric locomotive assembly factory built by CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co.,Ltd, various advanced electric locomotives are in array. A photo in the bulletin board bring us back to the history of 1936: the railway section from Zhuzhou to Shaoguan was in operation; a factor was built to repair imported steam locomotive which is the former of CRRC ZLEC. The vice general manager Shan Yong introduced that this ancient factory has been bombed twice by Japanese troops. After re-built, extension and refurbishment, CRRC ZELC is still using this historical factory nowadays with several steel beams exported from Europe before 80 years.
CRRC ZELC is changed from a small repair factory to a world leading railway transportation solution provider which mainly manufacture electric locomotive, power concentration EMUs, maglev train, super-capacitor trams etc. The history of CRRC ZELC is a marvelous part of the change of China manufacturing industry.
